Three round natural diamonds sit in a raised box setting at the center, with pave-set round diamonds tracing both curves of the S so no metal band is left bare. The design was refined over several rounds of sketches and 3D renders to match the client’s memory of the original as closely as possible, including a solid, gap-free profile between the stones and the band. Platinum was chosen over white gold for its durability and because it holds its white color without replating over decades of wear. The piece is intended to be worn daily and eventually passed down to a family member.
Recreated Green Garnet Engagement Ring in Silver
This engagement ring recreates a lost antique piece using a round green garnet center stone bezel-set within a distinctive double halo. Radiating metal bars cross beneath the halo in an X pattern, creating a vintage, art-deco-inspired frame around the center stone. This two-tier drop earring design rebuilds a stolen pair as closely as possible from photographs, an old appraisal, and memory. A pear-shaped pink tourmaline sits at the top of each earring, haloed in small diamonds, connecting to a larger oval blue stone below, also framed in a diamond halo. The lower stone was custom-cut from a lab-grown material chosen specifically to achieve the aquamarine color the client remembered, since natural aquamarine in the needed size and hue proved difficult to match affordably. The setting was kept flat against the back so the earrings sit close to the ear, with the larger stone extending just below the earlobe. Both stone shapes and sizes were refined repeatedly against the original appraisal and reference photos until the proportions felt right.
