This ring recreates a piece that had been worn for years before it was lost — a grandmother’s ring with a single marquise amethyst at the center. The original was gold; this version was rebuilt in 14k rose gold at the client’s request, with the same lattice-like texture carried across both shoulders flanking the stone. A six-prong setting holds the roughly one-carat marquise amethyst securely at center, with the geometric diamond-lattice pattern giving the shoulders dimension and shine without adding another stone. The design stays close to the original’s proportions and layout, rebuilt entirely from reference photos. It suits someone who wants a family piece back in wearable form, in a metal tone that fits how they wear jewelry today.
Recreated Amethyst Engagement Ring — Stolen Ring Rebuilt
This engagement ring recreates a stolen original as closely as possible from photographs alone — a round amethyst center stone flanked by two pear-shaped white sapphires, set in 14k yellow gold with white gold prongs cradling the amethyst. A subtle raised ridge runs along the shoulders near the side stones, echoing a detail from the original setting, and the inside of the band carries a personal engraved phrase. The design was built from the ground up rather than from a pre-made setting, matched to the client’s original ring size and a slim band profile that mirrors the delicate feel of the piece it replaces.
