How it's made

Once the design was approved, the pendant was 3D printed in wax and attached to a wax tree inside a flask. The flask went into a kiln where the wax was burned out, leaving a hollow mold, and molten 10k yellow gold was then cast into that mold under pressure to form the raw pendant. After casting, the piece was cleaned to remove investment residue and the surface was polished to a bright finish throughout. The circumference text and the triangle outline were finished by hand to keep the raised lettering crisp and legible. The bail was set perpendicular to the pendant face, at the specified 3-4mm opening, so it would sit correctly on the client's existing 3mm chain.
