Hexagonal Blue Diamond Ring Inspired by a Mother’s Heirloom
This engagement ring was designed to echo the look of a piece that belonged to the wearer’s mother, reimagined with a hexagonal step-cut center stone in a deep teal-blue hue. Round diamonds flank the center stone, while marquise-shaped clusters of small blue accent stones sit further along the band, framed with fine milgrain detail. Set in 14k white gold, the design balances the sentimental nod to the original piece with new stone choices selected for both color and durability. The result is a ring that carries forward a family connection while standing on its own as an original design.
Recreated Heirloom Ring — Woven Gold Band, Blue Topaz
This ring was recreated from photographs of a family heirloom that had been lost. Built in 14k yellow gold, it centers a round blue topaz held in a four-prong setting, flanked on both sides by a woven, crisscross gold pattern that tapers into a smooth polished shank toward the back of the band. The design keeps the visual weight at the top of the finger while thinning out where the ring meets the hand, echoing the shape the client remembered from the original piece.
