This pair of drop earrings recreates a lost earring’s open web pattern in polished sterling silver. Each earring is a rounded, slightly convex disc filled with an irregular, organic lattice of cut-out lines, giving the piece a lightweight, airy look despite its substantial 38mm diameter. The lever-back style hooks were chosen specifically for secure, comfortable daily wear. The design was rebuilt from photographs after the original earring could not be sourced for direct reference, and the final size was refined through physical resin models to match the wearer’s memory of the original piece’s scale.
Recreated Pearl Drop Wedding Earrings in 14k Gold
These drop earrings pair a sculpted 14k yellow gold fan element — its surface finished with fine radiating flutes — with a single lustrous white drop pearl suspended beneath. The fan top narrows to a small gold cap that cradles the pearl, creating a clean transition between the two design elements. Rebuilt to closely match a beloved original pair after one earring was lost, the design balances a classic silhouette with enough dimensional detail in the metalwork to keep it from reading as plain. The pearls were hand-selected to match in size and luster. This style suits daily and special-occasion wear alike, with a drop length substantial enough to catch light and movement without feeling heavy on the ear.
