Color of the Year

The Pantone Color Institute, widely recognized as the premier color authority, announced “Radiant Orchid” as its choice for the color of the year for 2014; the color is a blend of fuchsia, purple and pink. Pantone describes ‘Radiant Orchid’ as “an invitation to innovation” and a color that “encourages expanded creativity and originality”.

Wow! So, now I’m thinking, ‘gorgeous “Radiant Orchid”-colored cabochons, faceted stones, or beads set in a beautiful jewelry design. And, next I’m thinking wouldn’t it be fantastic to be one of the first to show off such a stunning piece of jewelry? I picture an originally-designed cocktail ring or perhaps some elegant drop earrings – really, the sky is the limit.
