This ring guard was built to frame an existing engagement ring rather than stand alone. Two parallel 18k yellow gold bands, each set roughly three-quarters of the way around with small round lab-grown diamonds, flank the center stone’s platinum prong head and connect into a single shank at the base. The design was modeled directly from the specifications of the original engagement ring, so the guard’s proportions and stone placement were built to complement — not compete with — the radiant-cut center stone already in place. A resin model was shipped ahead of casting so the finished fit could be confirmed on the actual hand before any metal was committed. The result is a piece meant to be worn stacked with its companion ring every day, adding brightness and dimension around the center stone without altering the original setting.
