Earth Day Presents a Perfect Opportunity to Show Your Clients that You Care about Our Planet
Earth Day is a global event celebrated every year on April 22. It got its start in the USA back in 1970, but today it is celebrated by 192 countries around the world. Since Earth Day is just around the corner, we’ve put together a short list of ideas for celebrating Earth Day and for showing you care about our planet. We’ve also included FREE photorealistic renders of Earth Day-style jewelry that you can use on your social media channels. Eco friendly jewelry: Reuse grandma’s precious metals and gems. Make sure your clients know that they can send you their old pieces and have beautiful, new pieces created from them. When we reuse gemstones and gold we help reduce the demand for mining of new gems and gold. If your client gives you a photo of the piece they would like created (or even a heirloom piece they would like recreated), we can create a beautiful CAD model inspired by these photos using their own gems and gold.
Use jewelry cleaning products that are earth friendly. The quality and variety of earth-friendly products has improved vastly, so today you can clean your jewelry without having to rely on harmful chemicals. Baking soda, for example, is eco-friendly and very effective for cleaning and shining jewelry. To clean gold, just sprinkle a little baking soda onto the gold and rub it very gently. After a few minutes, rinse off the baking soda and gently dry the gold. For silver, take a damp cloth and rub a little baking soda into it. Then, use the cloth to gently polish the silver. Baking soda is also great for cleaning your diamonds. Just prepare a cup of hot water with a teaspoon of baking soda in it and drop the diamond into the cup. Wait a few minutes, remove the diamond from the cup, and polish gently with a soft, dry cloth. Now, step back and see how everything sparkles!
