A Heartfelt Gift
After their wedding, James’s wife gifted him a wedding band she had thoughtfully got custom created. This unique piece was detailed with ‘I love you’ in hieroglyphs, along with their wedding date engraved on the inside. It was a touching symbol of their love and commitment, made all the more special by the constraints they were working within.

As the years passed, the ring naturally began to show signs of wear. The once-perfect band slowly became damaged, bearing the marks of time. Recognizing the importance of this piece, James decided to preserve its legacy. With their financial situation improving, he chose to create a replica in a more durable metal. This choice allowed him to maintain the original design while ensuring the new ring could withstand the test of time, continuing to symbolize their enduring love
The Challenge of Recreating Jewelry
Recreating an existing piece of jewelry is no small feat. Each item carries its own history, and the wearer becomes intimately familiar with every detail, texture, and fit. When replicating this special piece, it was crucial for us to respect these subtleties. Our aim was not just to create a replica, but to preserve the deep sentimental value of the original ring.
The Recreation Process
Guided by his personal designer, Holly, James navigated the exciting and often unfamiliar world of custom jewelry creation. The process was smooth and exhilarating, with James noting that one of the highlights was “slowly watching my ring come to life! I enjoyed receiving updates as the process unfolded.”
Step 1: Olha took the existing ring and, based on that, created a sketch of each symbol, clearly detailing what needed to be captured in the new ring.

Step 2: Our modeler then takes this sketch and builds a 3D model of the design completely from scratch. From that model, we are able to create photo-realistic images to share with James so he can see what his ring will look like once completed.

Step 3: After the resin model is printed, cast, cleaned, and polished to perfection, James’s new ring in 10k yellow gold is complete.
