In a story filled with love and family history, Paul and Maria traveled to a Greek island where Maria’s grandparents had immigrated over a century ago. They were deeply influenced by their time there. Maria was particularly taken by a pendant worn by one of their hosts—a small Greek letter “mu”. This letter held special meaning for Maria, so Paul decided to create something similar: a unique pendant that would remind them of their shared memories, family roots, and deep affection. It is not every day that we receive such an intricate sketch from a client. It showed Paul’s deep desire and dedication to create this soon-to-be-treasured pendant gift, and we loved that. From the outset, we knew this piece had a special story to tell.

Unfamiliar with the intricacies of crafting jewelry, Paul sketched his vision on paper. Determined to bring his jewelry concept to life, he faced several setbacks with local jewelers. They couldn’t meet his expectations, suggesting design alterations, not to mention communication delays, high costs, and tight schedules. A turning point arrived when Paul stumbled upon JewelryThis during an online search. Paul’s Sketch

Under the skilful guidance of Holly, Paul’s personal JewelryThis master designer, the transformation of his sketch into a functional jewelry piece began. Holly adeptly added a bail for pendant attachment, softened edges for comfortable wear, and figured out a setting for the pear gemstone to sit. These intricate details, meticulously translated into a mesmerizing 3D digital design, allowed Paul to witness his vision gradually materialize.

Aware that this piece would become a cherished keepsake, Paul was adamant about ensuring high quality. Holly facilitated the process by presenting him with various metal types and gemstone options, enabling him to carefully consider his preferences and, most importantly, choose options that aligned with his budget.
