Heritage at its Heart

Many people spend years searching for a unique piece of jewelry, feeling over and over like it “just isn’t me”, and find the answer in custom design. In Spencer’s case, he had been carrying the hope of finding just the right brooch to wear while showing and riding his horse at equestrian events. Once he discovered JewelryThis, Spencer was prepped and ready with a design made for his wedding day almost a decade before, in 2014. At that time, wanting to honor the symbols portrayed in his husband’s grandfather’s family crest, Spencer’s design combined the initials H and S into a unique logo featuring a heart, elegantly nested into a set of antlers. This combining of initials and the family crest represented the joining of two worlds and their histories. Spencer was excited to create a meaningful custom brooch from this design to wear while showing his horse, something to best fit a moment he is always very proud of.

Spencer’s Logo Design
The Jewelry Journey
Making a piece of jewelry from an existing logo could sound daunting to some, but not us. We love to take custom sentimental logos, emblems or initials and celebrate them through the medium of jewelry. Taking on the challenge of Spencer’s wedding logo, with a few additional details like sandblasting the silver to make the “S” pop off the rest of the brooch, was a very exciting project for us. The project came together more quickly than Spencer had anticipated, and he was impressed with the 3D printing process. He received his pin, a symbol of his love for his husband, just in time for his world championship competition, where it made its debut pinned to his jacket as he sat atop his horse.
