The Jewelry Journey
Sandy’s journey into custom jewelry design began with the collaboration of her personal designer, Holly. Together, they explored various ways to infuse the essence of family into the necklace. Options ranged from incorporating birthstones, initials, full names, nicknames, or even monograms.
The design unfolds with elegance, starting with a bezel set round Aquamarine – Sandy’s birthstone. Proceeding along the chain, the names of Sandy’s children, Cece and Benji, are intricately cut out, followed by their respective birthstones—a diamond and a citrine—adding a vibrant pop of color and sparkle.
Gemstone Selection Options
Initially, Sandy envisioned her husband’s initial, “R,” engraved on a heart shaped clasp, symbolizing his role in holding the family together. However, the practicality of a heart-shaped clasp posed a challenge. Instead, a heart charm with an engraved “R” was added, preserving the essence of the original idea and providing the perfect finishing touch to the necklace.
Creating a necklace consisting of several parts requires each element to be designed, printed in resin, and cast separately before being assembled together along the chain.
