Heritage at its Heart

Many people spend years searching for a piece of jewelry that truly feels like “them,” and often the answer lies in custom design. For Spencer, he had long hoped to find the perfect brooch to wear while showing and riding his horse at equestrian events. When he discovered JewelryThis, he was ready to bring a design he had created nearly a decade earlier, for his wedding in 2014, to life.
At that time, Spencer wanted to honor the symbols in his husband’s grandfather’s family crest. His design combined the initials H and S into a unique logo featuring a heart elegantly nestled within a set of antlers. This fusion of initials and family crest represented the joining of two worlds and their histories.
Spencer was thrilled to transform this meaningful design into a custom brooch he could wear while showing his horse. A piece that perfectly captured a moment he is always proud of.

Spencer’s Logo Design
The Jewelry Journey
Making a piece of jewelry from an existing logo could sound daunting to some, but not us. We love to take custom sentimental logos, emblems or initials and celebrate them through the medium of jewelry. Taking on the challenge of Spencer’s wedding logo, with a few additional details like sandblasting the silver to make the “S” pop off the rest of the brooch, was a very exciting project for us. The project came together more quickly than Spencer had anticipated, and he was impressed with the 3D printing process. He received his pin, a symbol of his love for his husband, just in time for his world championship competition, where it made its debut pinned to his jacket as he sat atop his horse.

We also have to thank the loyal AirB&B owner who retrieved the parcel while Spencer was en route.
