Brand Launch Celebration with Personal Pendant
What do you get when you mix rap music, fashion, and a message of mental health awareness? You get Action Figure Miles, the central mascot of the L.A.- based fashion brand by the same name, and the inspiration behind an amazing pendant jewelry project completed for Sarah as a gift to her boyfriend, the creative soul behind the brand, Rakeem Miles.
Action Figure Miles is a character symbolizing heroism and strength, inspired in part by Rakeem’s turbulent childhood and issues with mental health. The brand spreads positive messaging about mental health, and is so inspiring that it has ended up not only on Instagram, an entire clothing collection, murals, and in collaborations with the video game, Halo Infinite.
Sarah was inspired with the idea to create a piece of jewelry for Rakeem, and spent six long months mulling over the idea to make him a meaningful piece of custom jewelry before coming to us to create it. Sarah knew that, as an artist himself, Rakeem would love the idea of turning one of his artworks into a unique pendant, a piece to celebrate him building a brand.
The pendant celebrates Sarah and Rakeem’s journey together as he launched the Action Figure Miles Fashion brand, and honors Rakeem’s hard work and dedication.

The Jewelry Journey
Creating a pendant that would be as vibrant in color as the original drawing meant we would use either colored gemstones or enamel, and Sarah decided enamel would be the perfect choice to make the design instantly recognizable. To house enamel with multiple colors, the jewelry piece needs to be expertly crafted with multiple compartments, acting like a framework to contain the liquid enamel and allow it to cure, or set.
Sarah says, “Rakeem wears his pendant almost every day, especially when he goes to fashion events where he wants to showcase his brand.”
