A jewelry journey
Elizabeth had a unique jewelry vision in mind; she wanted a bow style ring with an ‘antique vibe’ setting atop a beautiful split shank and adorned with plenty of accent stones. She wanted a ring that would stand out when she wore it, and that was well crafted and elegant. In an effort to get her dream jewelry piece, Elizabeth made many attempts to get her jewelry vision turned into a reality, visiting many different jewelers, explaining her idea to designers, discussing her options, etc., but ultimately, always without success. None of the jewelers she approached were able to meet her requirements… until she came to JewelryThis. When Elizabeth approached JewelryThis, we immediately understood what she wanted and were able to offer her options that would keep her costs down without compromising on quality or her vision.
How did we do this?
We accomplished this in several ways. First, because there is more flexibility with CAD jewelry design, we were able to offer Elizabeth different design options and even show her how her piece would look before it was produced. Then, after Elizabeth decided on the design she liked, we gave her different production options. For example, clients have the option to choose between more or less expensive metals such as sterling silver or gold. They also have the option to choose between natural diamonds and lab-grown diamonds. Clients are even able to choose from loose stones in inventory. So, getting back to Elizabeth, for her ring, instead of using natural diamonds, we used man-made diamonds for the accent stones, which saved a whopping $1100! Plus, instead of 18K white gold, we used 14k white gold, which saved an additional $200. That’s a $1300 savings, which meant that we could design and produce Elizabeth’s dream jewelry piece AND meet her budget!
