December has two zodiac signs: Sagittarius (December 1st-21st) and Capricorn (December 22nd-31st). The Sagittarius symbol is portrayed as half human and half horse and its symbol is the archery sign, or a bow and arrow. Capricorns, on the other hand, are said to be ambitious, disciplined, goal-oriented, organized, practical, and responsible. The sea goat is the Capricorn symbol and its sign symbol is the hoof of the mountain goat and the tail of a fish. Tanzanite – Found only in a limited geographic region of Tanzania, tanzanite is a spectacular blue-purple variety of zoisite and is a relative newcomer to the gemstone scene. However, in spite of its relatively recent discovery, tanzanite is a popular and treasured gemstone.

Turquoise – Depending on the amount of copper it contains, turquoise can be sky blue, blue-green, or apple green, but as a December birthstone, it is typically opaque to semi-translucent. Turquoise is very light, fragile, and beautiful.
