2016: A Look Back with Jewelrythis

As we get ready to greet the new year, the Jewelrythis staff is taking a moment to look back at our main events in 2016.

We started off 2016 by announcing our new Premium Membership. The Premium membership was designed to protect the integrity of our models and to assure that only jewelry professionals could view and buy premium products. Premium membership also offers special features and choices that are not available with regular membership.

In February we introduced our awesome new dashboard that made it easier for you to follow your favorite designers, view your orders and bookmarks, and even read tips on how to get the most out of Jewelrythis.

Then in March, we announced the final winner of “The Spotlight is on You” Contest. The contest ran for four months and many gorgeous designs were submitted, but who can forget the winning design submitted by Othmar Wicke? The coiled snake cuff bracelet was the favorite of all our judges.

A little bit later in the year, we went to JCK Las Vegas and were fortunate enough to meet with some of the people who make up the Jewelrythis community. We talked, made connections, shared ideas and learned from them, and came back energized from all the positive feedback.

We also introduced the new Jewelrythis CAD to Cast service, which gives our users the option to order a CAD model and then get a casting in either 14k, 18k or platinum. With this option, we’ve eliminated the worry about printing models, or finding a place to cast the them. And shortly after, we introduced our new STL viewer, which eliminated the need to download or use special software to view our STL files. Custom orders can now be viewed just by clicking on the view button.

And that’s just some of what happened on Jewelrythis in 2016. We fully expect 2017 to be just as exciting, just as interesting, and just as eventful, if not more. Of course, we hope to see you enjoy all of it with us.
