A wedding band or wedding ring is a ring worn around the ring finger (located between the 3rd and 5th digits) of your left hand to indicate that you are married. Wedding rings are usually forged from precious metal and are given during the wedding ceremony in contrast to engagement rings, which are given during the proposal for marriage. Traditionally, wedding bands are simpler and more subtle than engagement rings.
