A cuff is a jewelry piece that is worn around the wrist and has no clasp or closure. They are designed with an opening, usually about 1” wide, so there is room to wiggle it over your wrist. Most cuffs are wide or thick and fit snugly on the wrist. However, they are also usually adjustable so they can be gently squeezed to fit more tightly on the wrist. Cuffs are usually made from sterling silver, gold filled, copper or brass.
