Color is one of the 4Cs of a diamond (cut, color, clarity, and carat). Diamonds come in many hues ranging from colorless to pink to light brown. Colorless diamonds are the rarest while diamonds with other natural colors such as blue, red and pink are less rare. The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) uses a letter scale to measure a diamond’s color with a different scale used for fancy diamonds.
