The rope chain features a continuous row of two or three links of precious metal, in a twisting pattern, that are spiraled together, but not completely joined. The twist creates a textured, woven effect similar to that of a rope. Rope chains are used for necklaces, bracelets, and anklets and is one of the most durable and heaviest chain types. They come in a variety of widths and lengths and are excellent for necklaces with pendants because of their durability.
