Some of the gemstones with the greatest amount of fire are diamonds, Moissanite, zircon, garnet, sphene, and cerussite. Fire, also known as dispersion, is the dispersal of white light emanating from deep within the stone and bounces back out in a spectrum of rainbow colors. It is different from brilliance which is when that same white light comes out of the diamond undispersed. Generally, dark colored gemstones exhibit less fire than light colored gemstones.
